David
Elaturoti has participated in programmes aimed at promoting
publishing for children in Nigeria and the West African sub-region since
1975 when he started work at Abadina Media Resource Centre as Media
Librarian. He has participated in writers workshop organised by the
Nigerian Educational Research and Development Council sponsored by UNESCO,
ECOWAS and the Nigerian Government. He
has also given leadership in workshops organised by Abadina
Media Resource Centre to develop indigenous
authors of children's books in Nigeria. David is a founding member of
Association of West African Book Editors (AWABE) on the platform of
which he has participated in workshops on: copy editing, electronic
publishing and editorial management.
David has the
experience of originating and editing manuscripts for publication,
particularly in school librarianship. From his research work on
publishing, he has published two(2) articles on the publishing industry
in Nigeria and West African Region.
David is an author of
many children's books - stories, fiction, school texts among others. |
