David Elaturoti has contributed immensely to development of children's literature in Nigeria and globally through training of authors, evaluation and compilation of select list of children's books, development of editorial skills, writing of books for children and conduct of research. David's research studies on children's literature cover Nigerian folk tales as source materials for children's books, survey of children's books in Nigeria and the reading preferences of Nigerian children. David has to his credit three children's stories, one manuscript in press and several articles on Nigerian children's literature. The Abadina Media Resource Centre where he works as Director, develops a model collection of books and non-book media for children.
