David Elaturoti's research activities in the area of Use of Educational Radio Programme as learning resources in schools started in 1976 when he compiled a bibliography titled: Fifteen years of educational broadcasting in Nigeria 1961-1976: a bibliography, which was published by the Nigerian Broadcasting Corporation for distribution to schools and other users. David also conducted a research on the use of educational radio programme as learning resources in selected secondary schools in Ibadan, the capital of old Oyo State, the report of which was submitted as a Ph.D. thesis in the Department of Library, Archival and Information Studies, University of Ibadan in 1989. David has also published five(5) journal articles on organisation  and use of educational radio programme in Nigerian schools as listed below:

• Nigerian mass media resources: their effective organisation and utilisation. Nigerian School Library Journal vol.1, no.1, 1978.
• Subject usage of Educational radio programme as learning resources in selected secondary schools in Ibadan. Nigerian Libraries vol.24, nos.1&2, 1990.

• Towards promoting the use of educational radio programme as learning resources in Nigerian secondary schools. Journal of Library and Information Science Review vol.9, no.2, 1991.
• Educational radio programme in Nigeria: relevance as learning resource materials to the secondary school syllabus. Nigerian Libraries vol.25, nos.1&2, 1992.

David has sustained interest in the effective use of educational radio programme in Nigerian schools for improved quality education for all.
